Rainbow Bridge

Cocoa
3 to 4 year old 1/2 appy 1/2 quarter horse cross. Passed away on 7/6/2005 after battling colic for 6 days.
Ellie
5 year old black mini mare. Passed away on 3/31/06 due to an accident.
Maliki

5 year old grey AQHA gelding.  He had a bone tumor growing in his sinus cavity.  He passed on 6/24/06.

 

Jack - was in his early 40's and his joints gave out winter of '07.  He passed away in February of 2007.

 

Casper - was a coming 2 year old jack.  Due to neglect he had an injury that severed his tendon on a hind leg which we couldn't get to heal.  He was euthanized in February '07 once it was determined he wouldn't be able to walk on it again.
  Misty - 23 year old grey AQHA mare passed away on the 1st of May.  She just layed down in the night and passed away.  She will be greatly missed.
  Annie - 25 year old thoroughbred mare from the Filley Feedlot.  She had arthritis so badly that she couldn't lift her legs.  She was euthanized 2 days after Easter 2007.
  Milly - 25-30 year old sorrel quarter mare from the Filley Feedlot.  She had two very severe stifle injuries and had to be euthanized 2 days after Easter 2007.
  Holly - age unknown.  She was a large standard white donkey.  She had been severely foundered and passed away summer 2007 due to unknown causes.
  Elenore - age unknown.  Old white mare that had come from the Filley Feedlot.  She was severely starved and passed away in August of 2007 due to organ failure.
  Trixie - bay quarter horse mare that had EPM.  She came from the Filley Feedlot.  She was euthanized in July 2007.
  Old Lady - age unknown.  Sorrel quarter horse mare.  She was very old and had been foundered. She came from the Filley Feedlot.  Her heart gave out in July 2007
  Missy - yearling morgan filly.  She was euthanized due to an untreatable injury to her hind leg in August 2007.

Eliza - 2 day old filly out of Lizzy, one of the Beatrice Ponies mares.  Lizzy had a condition which is similar to the Rh(-) factor in humans.  The dam was producing antibodies to the foal's red blood cells.  When Eliza nursed and got the colostrum from Lizzy, the antibodies transferred and started killing Eliza's red blood cells.  After 12 hours of fighting this at the vet's clinic, Eliza succumbed and passed away during a seizure. 3-15-08.
